T.L. Johnson Rod Company guarantees every new fly rod against breakage due to defects in materials, manufacturing or workmanship for the lifetime of the original owner. This warranty is available on graphite fly rods purchased from an authorized T.L. Johnson Rod Company Dealer. This warranty covers, at T.L. Johnson Rod Company’s option, the repair of the original rod or replacement of the rod with an equivalent rod only. This warranty is subject to the original owner completing and returning the warranty sheet/ card within 10 days of purchase.

This warranty does not cover lost rods, lost rod sections, intentional breakage, or cosmetic wear or scratches (normal wear and tear) or modifications to a finished rod. If any non-warranty work is requested, an appropriate fee will be charged to repair or replace the rod. An estimate of cost will be provided to you prior to any repair or replacement. The $ 40 shipping, handling and insurance charge will also apply.

For any warranty work, the entire rod must be returned to T.L. Johnson Rod Company. The owner is responsible for the cost of sending the rod to be repaired or replaced (we recommend you insure the rod). A return shipping, handling and insurance charge of $40 will be applied to all warranty claims.

This warranty is non-transferable and is good only for the lifetime of the original owner. If you purchase a used T.L. Johnson Rod Company fly rod, or if you purchase a new T.L. Johnson Rod Company fly rod from anyone other than an authorized T.L. Johnson Rod Company Dealer or if your rod was not properly registered, the rod is not covered by this warranty. If your rod is not covered by this warranty and it breaks we can fix the rod (under most circumstances) but you will be charged for the cost of the repair.

The entire rod is needed to assure proper fit of the repaired sections. Be sure to insure the rod, include a short note explaining the problem and how the breakage occurred, and your return shipping information including phone number. Please include payment for the $40 return shipping, handling and insurance charge that applies to all warranty repairs. You will receive in the mail a repair order bill detailing any applicable repair charges. Repair time will vary, please expect up to 4 weeks for your rod to be repaired and shipped.
