Schliske Bamboo Fly Rods are hand crafted in Fort Collins, CO by owner and master craftsman Matt Schliske and his Rattlesnake Creek Krew.  The Krew is a group of friends who share the passion of creating gorgeous bamboo fly rods in classic styles.  Every rod has beautiful agate stripping guides and measuring wraps at 16, 18 and 20 inches so you don’t have to guess the size of that trophy.  Matt created 4 production model rods that we at Fly Fishing CRAZY are proud to offer here.  With Matt, it’s not all about the Oooohs and Aaaahs of his customers reaction when they first lay eyes on the masterpiece they just purchased, but he gets excited about providing some of the finest fishing rods on the stream.

The solitude of a trout stream or the calm waters of a lake have a healing power that can't be explained, but also, can't be denied!  Healing our soldiers can be a long process. We help them reconnect with the peace for which they fought so hard!
I am a proud volunteer for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing.  The Denver chapter is currently teaching disabled Veterans to tie flies and cast a fly rod.  We now offer rod building classes for veterans.  The flies they tie will be lost or tattered with use, but a fly rod can be be a life long companion in their fly fishing efforts.
